How to Make Your Own Greenery Themed Wedding Seating Chart and Wedding Programs

Step 1: Download the files and open them

To edit the files, you will have to get the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC on your computer or laptop. If you don’t have it, don’t worry; here is a free download link! If you are a Mac user, you must open these directly from Adobe Reader and NOT Preview. The whole idea of these printable templates is to make the task easier for you. All you have to do is click inside the field boxes highlighted in blue and edit with your own text. To edit the font style, size, or color, simply highlight text & press: PC users Ctrl-E / Mac users Command-E. There’s also no need to install any fonts as they are already embedded within the file.

Step 2: Select Paper & Print

We recommend heavy white card stock for the seating plans. 135lbs should be fine, depending on your printer specifications. You can easily manage it on your home printer as they are in a 5X7 size. The folded program will be printed on both sides, and you can choose a standard paper (around 60lbs). Select the highest quality print and ‘Actual Size’ or ‘100%’ (not ‘Fit’) before printing. To get the perfect color output, I would recommend you to use a laser jet printer and an ink cartridge that is at least 50% full. You can also get them printed at a local print shop at affordable rates.

 

Step 3: Trimming & Finishing

The seating plan is laid 2-up to save paper. Once printed, simply trim the pieces using a trimmer or a knife & cutting board (a more economical option). Use a sharp knife for a nicer finish and follow the cutting guidelines on the design – it is easier than you think! For the program, you will not have to trim. Just fold it into half, and you’re done!
