Wedding Budget Tip #4: Use Fresh Flowers Sparingly

Wedding Budget Tip #4:

Use fresh flowers sparingly to save money on your wedding decor.

I love fresh flowers just as much as the next gal, but when it came to planning my wedding expenses blooms were one of the first things to go. They just became less of a priority for us in the grand scheme of our day.

Unfortunately, fresh flowers can be pricey, especially depending on the season for a particular flower. Thankfully, there are tons of great flower alternatives for wedding decor. Whether you DIY some paper flowers or opt to use sticks or candles for centerpieces instead, there are so many stunning and budget-friendly ways to create a beautiful tablescape for less. So to save money we suggest using fresh flowers sparingly in your wedding decor.

There are so many options for non-floral wedding decor. Consider anything from books to vases, teacups, bottles, vintage pieces, candles, and so much more. Your tables can still look gorgeous without dropping a grand (or several) on flowers. Check out the posts below that are filled with some fun wedding decor inspiration:

Perhaps you want the floral look without the fresh floral prices. If that’s the case, you might want to consider silk flowers instead of fresh ones, which you could resell after your wedding to another budget savvy bride to recoup your cost. I’m particularly fond of these artificial lavender plants I spotted on Amazon. Super chic– and make a lovely accent for your home as well!
