How many guests did you have?
We had about 200 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We had a memory table to commemorate family/friends who were unable to attend the wedding. We have T-rex cake toppers. The wedding party wore Converse sneakers. The ring bearers wore capes with their names that said, “Ring Security”. We had engagement photo bloopers up for guests to see. The songs for the ceremony were Disney songs, and the bride walked down the aisle to the Jurassic Park guitar cover. Our ceremony was very very short and filled with personality.

Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
We DIYed the centerpieces and the favors.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
We did not hire a DJ. Instead, we used iPod playlists. I ordered flowers from Costco they were way better quality than I expected and very inexpensive. We did sheet cakes instead of something super fancy. We had one small decorated cake that we used for the cake cutting. Alcohol was only wine/beer/a a small amount of champagne. Instead of having a champagne toast, we just announced that toasts were coming up and asked everyone to get a drink of their choice. Our catering company was full-service and took care of any bartending, serving, and waitressing needs we had. We kept everything super simple and just wanted our day to be about everyone having fun!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Keep it simple. People will only remember how you made them feel and if they had fun!
What was your biggest splurge?
Our photographer because he was amazing and pictures last forever.

What was your favorite detail?
Our song choices for our very short ceremony.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The first look!
