What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We made our own vow books. We used our own transportation, and my friend made both my wedding and cocktail dresses!

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

We chose not to have a reception. Instead, we went to local restaurants for cocktails, appetizers, dinner and drinks.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

For us, having a destination wedding with a wedding planner was the way to do it!

What was your biggest splurge?

There were two things that were big splurges. My hair and makeup was one, and the fabric for my dress was the other.

What was your favorite detail?

Our favorite detail was our officiant!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

During our wedding, there were clouds on the beach during ceremony. The clouds moved away right at the end.
